1. Data controller

We process personal data in accordance with EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and Czech Act No. 110/2019 Coll. on personal data processing.

2. What data we process

• Identification and contact details: name, email, phone, delivery and billing address (and IČO if you buy as a business).
• Order details: products ordered, price, payment and delivery method, communication about your order, complaints and returns.
• Payment details: card payments are handled directly by the payment gateway; we never see or store your card details. For bank transfers we see the incoming payment details (e.g. the payer’s account number).
• Customer account: if you create one – login details and order history.
• Technical data: IP address and essential cookies needed for the website to work securely.

3. Purposes and legal bases

• Processing and delivering your order (delivery, payment, communication, returns, complaints) – performance of a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
• Accounting and tax obligations – legal obligation, Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.
• Protecting our rights and website security (e.g. handling disputes, fraud prevention) – legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
• Answering your questions sent by email or contact form – legitimate interest or steps before entering a contract.

We only send marketing emails (newsletters) with your consent. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.

4. Who we share data with

We never sell your data. We share it only as necessary with these recipients and processors:

• Couriers and delivery services – to deliver your parcel.
• WooPayments payment gateway (Automattic / Stripe) – to process card payments.
• Our web hosting provider – to run and back up the website.
• Google (Gmail) and our email-sending service – for email communication and order confirmations.
• Accountant or tax advisor – if used.
• Public authorities – only where required by law.

Some of these providers (e.g. Google, Stripe) may process data outside the EU, mainly in the USA. Such transfers are based on the European Commission’s adequacy decision (EU–US Data Privacy Framework) or standard contractual clauses.

5. How long we keep data

• Accounting and tax records (orders, invoices) – for the period required by law, usually 5 to 10 years.
• Data needed for complaints and possible disputes – for the warranty period (24 months) and the subsequent limitation period.
• Enquiries and general communication – up to 1 year, unless related to an order.
• Customer account – until you delete it.

6. Cookies

We use only essential cookies that the website needs to work – e.g. for your cart, login, language choice and payment security (fraud prevention). These do not require consent. We do not use analytics or marketing cookies; if we introduce them in the future, we will ask for your consent first. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict processing, data portability, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise your rights, email info@roop.cz; we will reply within one month.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection (ÚOOÚ), Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Praha 7, www.uoou.cz.

We may update this policy; the current version is always published on this page with its effective date.
